Scheduling intakes for January 2023
I believe that each person has the power to create a life that feels worthwhile to them. My work is to support you in navigating the internal and external obstacles that get in the way of that. Whether you are healing from trauma, challenging relationships, systemic oppression, difficult internal narratives, loss, substance abuse, or other issues that drive disconnection between you and your truest self, I will work to help you develop the coping skills and strategies that work for you. Together, we will establish a therapeutic relationship built on mutual trust and transparency to create a space where your authentic self is welcome, safe, and accepted.
As a clinical social worker, my work is informed by my understanding of the impacts that societal, historical, and environmental systems have on mental health. I am guided by my values of anti-oppression, trauma-informed care, and unconditional positive regard. My goal is for each client to feel seen, heard, accepted, and challenged in ways that promote healing and growth.
Providing treatment for tweens, teens, couples and adults aged 10 – 60+ years of age.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
- LGBTQIA+ adults and youth: I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and have a background in supporting LGBTQIA+ youth and adults in navigating challenges related to gender, sexuality, relationships, community dynamics, interpersonal and structural trauma, and other mental health issues unique to our community.
- Survivors of Interpersonal Violence: my early background and experience focused on survivors of sexual violence and intimate partner violence. My training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is rooted in attachment theory and somatic awareness, and I use a combination of these approaches in my work to support clients in healing from trauma.
Therapies Utilized: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, and Somatic Experiencing
Personal Interests: I love spending time with my family and friends, taking my dog on nature walks and hikes, camping, traveling, dancing, playing music (guitar, ukulele, banjo, singing), glitter, roller skating, running, yoga, cooking, and trying out different forms of arts and crafts. Social and environmental justice are very important to me, and I love getting involved in my community.
