My social work counseling practice is formed on the foundation of empathy and compassion, acceptance and refuge, insight and empowerment. My approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed.
WHAT I’M LIKE AS A THERAPIST
Informed by my work as a Licensed Direct Entry Midwife, my counseling practice centers on
understanding how best to support women, mothers, parents, and their babies, as they journey
into parenthood. I strive to empower clients to advocate for growth, healing, and support that is
most fitting of their needs.
Through a holistic and therapeutic approach, we will work to build your inner strength, create
new self-awareness, cultivate positive self-regard, and explore emerging thoughts and behaviors
that are limiting health and wellbeing. I believe in your self-determination and will work
alongside you to achieve your goals.
In essence, I strive to understand what makes you sing, celebrate, cry, or mourn while
recognizing that in each and every person lies their own best healer.
“You are the sky. Everything else-it’s just the weather.” ~ Pema Chödrön
