We are relational beings whose understanding of self is developed by the ways in which we relate with others and the interactive relationship between thoughts, feelings, actions, and experiences. My goal is to assist clients in discovering their strengths and to develop coping strategies and creative problem-solving skills to set the foundation for lifelong success.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance in facilitating a positive outcome in counseling. I strive to create a safe space and through an empathetic and non-judgmental approach, individuals can openly explore their challenges and goals with a process tailored to each individual’s unique wants and needs for therapy.

    • Children: I strive to nurture imagination and give a child a sense of autonomy through child-led play. Through this, they can learn essential skills such as problem solving, recognizing and managing emotions, empathy and respect for others, and developing healthy social and emotional behaviors at their own pace.
    • Anxiety & Stress: Let’s partner together to learn skills, explore contributing factors and process your experience of anxiety and stress.  We’ll identify healthy coping tools and strategies for moving forward with improved clarity and quality of life.
    • Depression & Mood: I’ll support you to identify the patterns, automatic thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to depression or mood related challenges and we’ll identify tools to reduce and manage your symptoms while striving for healthy ways to cope.
    • Individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities: Working with individuals who experience intellectual and/or developmental disabilities requires an understanding of the unique challenges they may face including a broad range and ability in functional communication and social interaction skills. My goal is to offer different approaches which may include modified CBT that uses visualized language and incorporating visual and hands-on types of activities including art, movement, and play therapy to assist clients as they seek to grow towards their best quality of life.
