Jackie Martin, LCSW

My work centers on helping your system experience safety not just think about it. I take a relational, collaborative approach to therapy. Healing happens in connection, and I prioritize creating a space where you feel steady enough to explore whats tender or unresolved. We move at a pace your nervous system can tolerate. Theres no forcing, no pushing, and no expectation that you should be further along. Therapy with me is something we co-create, grounded in consent, attunement, and respect for your protective strategies.

Many of the people I work with are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, or significant life stressors. Some are managing panic attacks or chronic worry that makes it hard to rest. Others are feeling flat, unmotivated, or disconnected in ways that resemble depression struggling to access joy, energy, or meaning. Sometimes its not one major event, but the cumulative weight of responsibility and stress over time.

While I tailor therapy to each person, my work has a particular focus on trauma resolution. I integrate Somatic Experiencing, which supports the nervous system in gently renegotiating survival responses that may still be running long after a threat has passed. Rather than reliving painful events, we track sensations, impulses, and subtle shifts in the body to build capacity for regulation and resilience. I also use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process memories and experiences that continue to shape present-day reactions if that is in line with our work together. In addition, I draw from other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Motivational interviewing for integrative therapy, specific to your needs. Together, we approach with curiosity rather than judgment, helping you feel heard and supported.

I believe your symptoms make sense in the context of your story. Therapy isnt about fixing you. Its about helping your system feel safe enough to soften, integrate, and move forward with more choice. I would be honored to connect and see if were a good fit.
